Welcome from the Director...

Hello,

My name is Tracy Delatte and I am the co-owner and director of Children's Chalet. Working with and teaching children has been my passion for as long as I can remember. After years of teaching Pre-kindergarten in Metairie, Louisiana, I decided to open my own preschool. I convinced my mother, Sandy Ingram to join me and we began our quest to open our own center. We decided on Mandeville because of this communities commitment to quality education for their children. My dream has always been to provide our youngest children with a safe, secure and loving environment in which they could learn and grow.

In February 2015, we suddenly lost my mother Sandy to an unexpected illness. Although she is missed terribly, I will continue to work diligently to serve the children of St. Tammany in the same loving and caring manner we always have.

Since our beginning in 1994, we have had the privilege of seeing so many of our students grow into wonderful and successful young adults. We are fortunate that so many of our past students continue to keep in touch with us and we love hearing about all they have achieved.

In closing, I hope you get a feel for the loving, caring atmosphere we work so hard to provide. We want the children in our care to feel like they are at home. We feel this atmosphere ensures our children will leave with a love for learning that will last a lifetime. We are excited to continue providing the youngest children of St. Tammany the best for many, many years to come.

Assistant Director

Kimberly Jones is our Assistant Director. She has been a member of our family since 1997. Kimberly has also worked with young children. She began her career working with young children in 1990 at a local center in Covington, Louisiana where she first taught in the classroom and then was promoted to Assistant Director. Fortunately for us she walked through our door and has been here ever since. She has many responsibilities here at Children's Chalet and I can say without hesitation, that we would not be here today without her devotion to our children, our center and our family.

Our Family Members (Staff)

We are very fortunate to have the most caring, loving and qualified teachers and staff anywhere on the Northshore. The majority of our staff have been with us for many, many years. We have staff that have started here as early as 1995. Even new staff members quickly become part of our family, because we feel that they should be just as comfortable here as our children. This makes for an environment that shows our children we care for each other and we care for them as well. Nothing makes a child feel more secure then walking into their school and seeing the same familiar faces welcome them each day. This consistency gives our parents the comfort to go to work each day knowing who will be teaching and caring for their children. Nothing in this world is more gratifying than having the trust of our parents precious children. This is what sets us apart from our competition and we look forward to meeting you and your child/children.
